How weird that our parents or some elderly tries to control our lives, even to the nifty gritty things like nail polish, especially when you use out-of-the-ordinary shades like black or neon yellow and stuffs.
Think about it.
Do you owe your life to anyone else, other than yourself?
I would say no. I know there will be a handful who will stand up and protest saying things like; "Hey, our parent gave us a life, don't we owe our life to them?" or "Parent took care of us and allow us to grow up, sure enough we would at least owe them this.", etc.
Everyone in this world take on at least a role and their mind made up ideas of how themselves and others should play their role "rightfully", all these are just opinions they have of others. They place their thoughts and ideas on others and label what is right or wrong, good or bad, expecting other to do what they agree.
However, does any absolute right or wrong exist? I doubt so.
For example, abortion. Almost every now and then we hear discussion on this topic by the media or among our own clutter. Is abortion right or wrong? Some argued "Yes" while some thinks "No". All replies depends on whether one is pro-lives or not.
There's always two sides to a coins, sometime more, it's absolutely true and applies to every single though, thing, or situation.
Likewise, when I say "No" it doesn't imply that Iam not going to be filial and take care of my parent, etc. Instead, Iam only simply voicing out my thought, that no I don't owe anyone anything, especially my life. True enough without my parent I won't be here. I thank them for giving me a life but ultimately I get to choose how I live my life. If anything, Iam only listening to them out of respect, taking care of them because of filial piety, but I don't owe them a explanation how my life should turn out to be.
Am I making any sense here? -laugh- Thoughts really get complicated when one doesn't know how to word them simply enough for others to undeerstand. Am really starting to apprecitaes those authors who wrote best-selling book that aren't full of crap.
